Registration
The (Accreditation) Act No. 15 of 2011 mandates that every post-secondary institution operating within the state of Grenada Carriacou and Petit Martinique must be Registered with and by the Grenada National Accreditation Board. Through the Registration Process, the Grenadian populace is assured that Post-Secondary Institutions in Grenada are delivering Quality Education and Training programmes to its students. A Registered Institution is recognized by GNAB as having at least met the fundamental requisite standards and policies for delivering Post-Secondary Education.
GNAB is in constant contact with EQAAs (External Quality Assurance Agencies) to ensure that its policies and procedures are updated and relevant in keeping with best practices around the world. After an institution is registered for a maximum of six years it must submit itself to the accreditation process.
After an institution submits a letter of intent, GNAB will determine its eligibility for Registration.
GNAB assesses the eligibility of an institution/provider based on fixed criteria and standards.
- Legal and Regulatory Requirements
- Governance and Administration
- Resource Management
- Teaching and Learning
- Quality Management Review
The institution/provider must adequately satisfy the minimum operating standards in all of these after evaluation by GNAB and its evaluation team.
Eligible institutions are provided with an Institutional Registration tool kit that includes the following documents:
- Application Form for Institutional Registration
- Registration Data form
- Checklist of Required Evidence for Institutional Registration
- Information for Institutions seeking Institutional Registration
- Conditions of Registration for Post-Secondary and Tertiary Institutions in Grenada
