Funding and Scholarships

Students at the T.A. Marryshow Community College pay a subsidized school fee of $840.00 per semester, there may be additional expenses for other miscellaneous equipment and special programme fees, depending on the status and programmes offered by the college.
Scholarships and bursaries are provided for students based on needs or for students requiring financial assistance. Funding assistant is made available through several private businesses, NGO’s and the Government of Grenada. In the case of St. Georges University partial scholarships of up to 90% is available through the university, based on a mixture of need and academic success.

St. George’s University School of Arts and Sciences grants sixty (60) annual full time undergraduate scholarships each year for Grenadian students. This is broken down into thirty (30) per semester. The selection process is based on a mixture of need and academic success.
The St. George’s University School of Medicine grants five (5) pre-clinical and fifteen (15) medical scholarships annually to Grenadian students. The Scholars are selected on the basis of both need and academic success.

Commonwealth-Grenada Scholarship: This scholarship covers both graduate and undergraduate degree programs and seeks to make tertiary education possible for top scholars in Commonwealth countries who might otherwise be unable to attend university. It is based primarily on academic excellence, financial need and the student’s commitment to the chosen discipline.

China-Grenada Scholarship: This scholarship covers both graduate and undergraduate degree programs and seeks to make tertiary education possible for those who meet entry criteria into higher education. The Chinese government grants between 15 – 20 full undergraduate scholarships, and up to 15 graduate/post graduate scholarships annually, based on the country’s purported needs.

Cuba-Grenada Scholarship: This scholarship covers both graduate and undergraduate degree programs and seeks to make tertiary education possible for those who meet entry criteria into higher education. The Cuban government grants five (5) medical scholarships annually and a further two (2) specialized medical scholarships. Four (4) other scholarships are granted annually, based on the needs of Grenada.

Students can also access several other scholarships including OAS, Russia and other Global scholarships. Most of these are advertised by a special desk within the ministry of Education, designed specifically for the purpose of administrating scholarships. There is usually an interview process for scholarship applicants, since the demand usually outweighs available places.

The Government of Grenada provides additional scholarships- full or partial- for over 200 students accessing higher education in other regional or international universities.
