Grenada National Accreditation Board: Ensuring Quality, Standards and Recognition for Tertiary Education
Our Mandate
The Grenada National Accreditation Board (GNAB) was established in 2014 and is duly authorised by Act No. 15 of 2011 as amended by Act No. 31 of 2014.GNAB is charged with responsibility for Quality Assurance and Accreditation of post-secondary and tertiary level institutions in Grenada and advising on the status of quality assurance and accreditation with respect to foreign or transnational, post-secondary and tertiary level programmes and institutions.
GNAB also offers other services such as:
- Evaluation of Credentials
- Statements of Recognition/Verification
- Equivalence assessments
- Institution Status Research
Post-secondary and tertiary level education and training refer to institutions and programmes which generally require successful completion of secondary level education or its equivalent, and which lead to the award of qualifications at the sub-baccalaureate, baccalaureate, and postgraduate levels.
GNAB's Commitment

As a service organization, it puts particular importance on providing perfect organization and comprehensive support, not only for the client commissioning the evaluation, but also for the experts and the institution or programme under evaluation.
The Board will assist higher education institutions with customized service offerings, (including audits, workshops and further education of quality management representatives) based on the process of consultation. These especially aim at strengthening the self-controlling ability of the higher education institutions. The Board considers the development, implementation and management of quality assurance as an integrated, holistic approach to organizational development.
